The U.N. now wants to make that Anti-Blasphemy Resolution binding on all member nations. That would make it a crime to critisize religion, in particular Islam. This is a major effort taking place to curb free speech worldwide.
Christopher Hitchens discussed the United Nations Anti-Blasphemy Resolution with Lou Dobbs on February 25, 2009 on CNN. The Resolution, sponsored by the Arab members, might be the crucial next step towards imposing Sharia law in the Western world.

If asked, which moves the sun or earth and the reply is, "I believe it is earth" instead of "it is earth", it means there are doubts.

| Is there a universal definition for truth?

Monopoly on truth
How often has it been said that no one has a monopoly on truth? But the truth is, if some one does, how would one recognize it?
The Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia says, there is no single definition of truth about which the majority of scholars agree, and numerous theories of truth continue to be widely debated. There are many different claims on such questions as what constitutes truth, how to define and identify truth, what roles do revealed and acquired knowledge play, and whether truth is subjective, relative, objective, or absolute.
It is true, truth cannot be defined by the those who have no idea of what it is, but only by the wise who have made tremendous effort through austerity, study and practice of the correct knowledge. Truth in fact, is all of the above but has stages, one must advance from as low as objective to the highest, absolute. When it is realized it fits a single definition and one universal in nature, that which is in harmony with reasoning and science, and in conformity with the immutable laws of nature. There is no short-cut to wisdom, therefore, it is not evidence, until it is experienced.

Activity is superior to destiny!
Whether it be in the past, present, or in the future most understand destiny to be a seemingly inevitable succession of events, especially those very painful and that we are powerless to avoid them. Indeed destiny cannot be changed because it has to do with only the past. Sins are not forgiven, but the present activity of acquiring true knowledge and putting it into practice (yoga), is the only power to cancel them.

Who changed it?

The Challenge
Truth has only one rule, it is one, the same for all, in all ages and in all creations (past, present and future), depriving none. True revelation in it's entirety, therefore, must exist from the very beginning of all creations. In other words, since truth covers the three periods of time, you are left to answer what God was doing before this creation. Now that rule has been clearly defined, it makes it very simple to expose what is false, so atheists and believers, show me how sound your ideology is, by disputing only one of the five tests of the one true religion.

Intellectual Preparation: It is often said that no one has "a monopoly on truth", but in fact, if one does, how would one recognize it?
Ingraining the proper methods of reasoning are mandatory, which at first, the truth may seem very vague to a rational mind, must be followed by continuous reading of the (correct knowledge) and pondering of the subject over and over and asking questions until all doubts are removed.
In studying the systems of philosophy, it is necessary that the mind adopt a discipline of impartiality and sobriety. It must then be raised to an exalted mental condition through the process of reasoning. This intellectual function is required for the comprehension of recondite and invisible truths of matter and nature.
Human birth is a privilege. One bold and open to a rational discussion of one's faith has the only chance of coming face to face with the truth. |

Another thought to reflect on:
If it be taken, referring to the biblical account of a 6-day creation, a day represents a 1000 years ("With the Lord, a day is like a thousand years.." (2 Peter 3:8), creation is 6,000 years old, the sun which was created on the 4th day, is only 2,000 years old, the creation of man on the 6th day would mean Adam and Eve only walked this planet a few years ago and since the 7th millennium is not here yet, the Christian God is yet to have his complete day of rest.
On the other hand, if it is taken to mean the regular solar days which is decided by the sun and accepted by all, how could 3 days be accounted for without the sun?
Then again, if it applies to salvation, the truth is, in the state of perpetual happiness, time flies, meaning 1000 years will be like a day, but if "with the Lord a day is 1000 years", it has to be the opposite, very painful and/or severely boring. More money than brains..
Who are they? They are the self-proclaimed rich philantrophists with more money than brains whose every move to save a hungry child, a piece of marshland or the inflicted makes the media to let the world be aware of their 'noble' cause.
They will not hesitate to spend millions on very extravagant living and some, to look down from space or the highest peak in the world. But what sensible person would put all of the above first, before the soul? You'd think they would spend just as much to know why they are gifted with such great wealth in the first place and if there is a next life to come they wouldn't want it to be any other way. Yes, the idea of self before anything else, maybe construed as a selfish idea but by only the ignorant, when in reality saving the soul is far more beneficial for the planet.

The falseness of what all the prophets say is evident in the fact that they contradict one another: one affirms what the other denies, and yet each claims to be the sole depository of the truth; thus the New Testament contradicts the Torah, the Qu’ ran the New Testament. As for the Q'uran, it is but an assorted mixture of ‘ absurd and inconsistent fables,’ which has ridiculously been judged inimitable, when, in fact, its language, style, and its much-vaunted ‘eloquence’ are far from being faultless. Custom, tradition, and intellectual laziness lead men to follow their religious leaders blindly.
Religions have been the sole cause of the bloody wars that have ravaged mankind. Religions have also been resolutely hostile to philosophical speculation and to scientific research. The so-called holy scriptures are worthless and have done more harm than good, whereas the writings of the ancients like Plato, Aristotle, Euclid, and Hippocrates have rendered much greater service to humanity.

It is indeed an excellent idea from the President that they all be taught alongside each other, but under the auspices of which religion should creation science be argued? If it be the Bible, it will most certainly spell instant defeat for Christianity, as it has always been at the hands of those who propagate the science of evolution. It is not difficult to figure out, that it was this kind of prevailing irrational dogma which gave birth to it (Darwinism) in the first place.
All of the world's religion, except one, are not only irrational but unscientific and the prejudicial condition that they have inherited will definitely not permit the one true scientific religion to be taught along side the others, for it will not only be a defeat for the science of evolution but religion itself based on the Bible and other irrational scriptures.

Vj ~ How can there be science without intelligence? But true it is, something (creation), out of nothing is indeed magic and definitely not science. DavidM - Language and intellect co-evolved. We evolved with intelligence and language and painstakingly figured out how to do things.
Vj ~ Ideas grew out of intelligence and intelligence grew out of language. So how could the idea of language evolve, before or without intelligence? If a sentence is not complete, it won't make any sense. In the same way, if a language is not complete, it cannot make us intelligent.Rosamond: I have been to India, and the Indian public seem to be very receptive to and appreciative of what they call the "great gifts of the West". Concepts such as hygiene, immunization, x-rays, TB testing, etc.
